Adding an Encyclopedia

by Mike Crain on Nov 30th, 2008 in News | No Comments »

I’m adding an encyclopedia type thing to the media menu that gives you the origins of what all those vaguely named MIDI instruments ACTUALLY are in the real world for people like me who started with MIDIs and wondered just what the hell all the stuff was I was using. I’m still implementing it and none of it is even up yet so check back later because I had to go to work four minutes from writing this.

I finally finished and uploaded the song Sailing on a Hostile Ship. Also orchestrated the fortress theme from Mario 3 for the hell and fun of it. ALSO also finished Utterly Ruthless and uploaded it as well. Go download them all and leave me a message or just leave me alone.

Town on Fire Rendition

by Mike Crain on Nov 15th, 2008 in News | No Comments »

I redid Town on Fire with the instrument libraries I now have at my disposal and trashed the old version so it sounds a bazillion times better now. I’ll also be giving many other songs already up for download this audio face lift so keep checking back. I was also snooping around on my hard drive cleaning out shit I never use and stumbled across the Heroes of Might and Magic II MIDI soundtrack that was like tracking down the Lost Dutchman Mine to find. Get it here because you’ll probably not find it anywhere else.

Did the same thing with World Revolution that I did with the Chrono Trigger boss battle theme. Not much else to note about today except my new internet kicks ass.

by Mike Crain on Nov 13th, 2008 in News | No Comments »

Finally obtained cable internet and no longer have to use DSL. Also, I uploaded a cover of the Megaman theme that Andrew made and I reworked the instrumentation of that sounds as kick ass as not having DSL anymore.

I added an old program purely for my own nostalgic reasons. That and the fact I’m deleting most of the shit on my hard drive I never use anymore and the program is probably long gone in this day and age. Pretty much it lets you easily play any MIDI instruments from your sound card but isn’t that great if you try to edit what you recorded.

So I just took an old MIDI I made from Videogame Music Archive of the Chrono Trigger boss battle theme and then I processed it through programs to test out new instruments I have at my disposal. You can download it if you want. Actually you don’t have a choice… download it right now mother fucker.

And I guess Obama won as president. I didn’t know until someone told me since I don’t watch the news and I don’t vote because I couldn’t care less… hell I don’t even watch TV for that matter because it’s so full of shit.

In more news no one gives a shit about, I guess the free hit maps website died.
